Master Gardener

**Now accepting registrations for the upcoming 2024 Master Gardener Class. Registration due Jan. 26

The Idaho Master Gardener Program is an intensive 14-week course. It prepares you to help other gardeners with their gardening and horticultural problems.

Time Commitment

The Idaho Master Gardener Program requires:

36 hours classroom time (online)

From mid-January to mid-April. You will be given several open book quizzes and reading assignments.

40 hours hands-on training

Arranged with an Extension educator. Much of this time will be spent helping out in the Master Gardener room. There you will answer gardeners’ questions through the summer months with the assistance from an Advanced Idaho Master Gardener.
