2024 Homecoming Committee Applications

Applications are now closed for the 2023 Homecoming Committee. If you're interested in getting involved reach out to homecoming@uidaho.edu to learn about street team opportunities.

Applications for 2024 will open after 2023 Homecoming. VP of Homecoming, Abby Fellows, can answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding the application process or Homecoming Committee. Please see the position descriptions below for more information.


President, Vice President and Director Positions

Homecoming President —  Xóchitl Perez
This position is the primary lead of the Homecoming Committee within the Student Alumni Relations Board and the University of Idaho. They are to work with the SArb Advisor and other VPs to enhance the Homecoming program while providing direction and leadership within the committee.

VP of Homecoming 
The main duty of the VP is to work with and aide the Homecoming President. Responsibilities may include helping develop meeting schedules, committee communications and assisting in keeping committee members accountable. Promote Homecoming and be responsible for the recruitment of the 2024 committee.

Director of Teams 
Works to encourage and inform all students about the opportunities with homecoming committee. Works closely with Judges, Points and Prizes Coordinator to coordinate teams. Visit living groups from across campus to encourage them to participate in Homecoming.

Director of Marketing 
Work with the Assistant Director of Community Outreach to create special promotions and deals at local businesses for Vandals during Homecoming Week. Work with advisor, Advancement Communications and University Marketing and Communications to build and create Homecoming Marketing Plan(s).

Assistant Director Positions

Assistant Director of Community Outreach
Aide in the development of Fundraising Letter (in coordination with the Assistant Director of Fundraising). Work with the Marketing Chairs to create special promotions and deals at local businesses for Vandals during Homecoming Week.

Assistant Director of Philanthropy
Partner with Red-Cross to coordinate Annual Blood Drive. Find partner for annual Food Drive. Explore options to other Philanthropic events and promotions.

Assistant Director of Fundraising — Lauren Young
Works closely with Annual Giving for Fireworks Fundraiser. Develop “Ask” letters with Advisor, and Advancement Communications. Oversee other fundraising activities such as Koozie sales or promo parties.

Assistant Director of Friday Night Events — Madison Tesnohlidek
Assist in the development, preparation and set-up of the annual Friday Night events. Works closely with the Office of Alumni Relations, Parking and Facilities.

Assistant Director of Social Media
Create posts and content for Social Media. Promote the Homecoming Instagram and involvement in events.

Coordinator Positions

Merchandise Coordinator — Peyton Adams
Design options for the 2023 merchandise. Contact Licensing and Trademark at U of I for branding approval.

Public Relations Coordinator
Coordinate the annual Window Painting competition. (Contacting local businesses, assigning teams windows, etc.)

Parade Coordinator
Work to plan, coordinate and execute the annual Homecoming Parade.

Royalty Coordinator — Nandani Singh
Coordinate and promote Homecoming Royalty Nominations and Voting. Royalty Coordinators cannot be nominated. — Please take this into consideration.

Judges, Points and Prizes Coordinator
Coordinate Judges for all Homecoming Events – Contacting, Recruitment and Scheduling. Manage Team Points with Director of Teams.
