Academic Majors/Teaching Majors and Minors

Careful distinction should be made between a student's "academic major" and any additional "teaching majors" or "teaching minors" leading to certification. 

Majors Leading to Teacher Certification

Students will choose an academic major and will complete the curriculum to be awarded a degree.

Additional Teaching Majors and Minors

Curriculum for additional teaching majors and minors can be accomplished for certification to teach specific subjects in K-12 schools, such as art, history, science, etc.
