Research

Legislative Programs

Forest Utilization Research (FUR) is a legislative program funded annually by the state of Idaho to provide unbiased research, outreach and policy analysis to the people of Idaho since 1976. The umbrella program supports four specific research and outreach programs and provides basic funding against which the college leverages research funding from federal agencies.

U of I Experimental Forest

Provides forestry training, learning and employment opportunities for students at a network of sites encompassing more than 10,000 acres of research and working forest lands outside Moscow and at other locations in the state.
