Understanding Social Behavior

Have you ever wondered why people act in the way that they do? Understanding the social forces that shape people and organizations is critical in today’s world. If people and their behavior capture your attention, then a sociology degree will help you delve into the social forces that influence our experiences, behavior and opportunities. Students take a wide range of courses exploring race/ethnicity, gender, inequality, social class, and social theory. Earning a degree in sociology will help you prepare for your career in non-profit organizations, local, state, and federal government, business, social services, environmental policy, social research and human resources.
