In Vitro Potato Collection

The Seed Potato Germplasm Program maintains disease-tested potato varieties in vitro on the University of Idaho’s Moscow campus. The in vitro collection is maintained at the University of Idaho and consists of 250 varieties. This collection includes public varieties, private varieties, PVMI varieties and experimental varieties. All varieties introduced into the lab undergo rigorous testing by the Idaho Crop Improvement Association which includes PLRV, PMTV, PVA, PVM, PVS, PVX, PVY, RLSV, BRR, Pecto and PSTVd. Other testing can also be completed by request.
