Liver Disease & Viral Hepatitis
In Idaho, chronic liver disease and cirrhosis are the tenth leading cause of death, which translates to nearly 17 deaths per 100,000, or 351 deaths recorded in 2021. Also, viral hepatitis claims a life every 30 seconds worldwide, even though it’s a preventable disease, and curable in the case of hepatitis C.
Led by an interdisciplinary panel of experts in hepatology, pharmacology, family medicine, and behavioral health, ECHO’s Liver Disease & Viral Hepatitis program aims to reverse these trends by helping identify approaches and resources for advancing patient care.
ECHO’s Liver Disease & Viral Hepatitis program offers the following opportunities:
- Earn free MOC Part IV (MDs/DOs) or AAPA Category 1 (PAs) credit by joining the 2024 Quality Improvement (QI) Cohort.

- Earn CME/CE credits for joining the live, virtual, 1-hour Community of Practice sessions. Submit patient cases in advance or bring your cases and questions during the live sessions to receive feedback and have an in-depth discussion with the specialist panel and those who join.

- No-Cost Accredited Continuing Education:ECHO Idaho offers free, accredited continuing education credits (CE). CE credit is available for participating in both the live and recorded sessions using our CE platform, eeds, for the Liver Disease & Viral Hepatitis program.
