Kris Hartung

Kris Hartung is the Manager for the Provider Wellbeing Center of Excellence at St. Luke’s. He is a true champion for physician and provider wellbeing with specific skills in leadership development and a focus on leading with wellbeing and emotional intelligence. Kris has a background in coaching and is a certified emotional intelligence coach and Baldridge Excellence Examiner. Prior to this current role, his focus had been on leadership development, performance coaching, and organizations performance improvement.

Camille LaCroix, MD, DFAPA

Camille LaCroix, MD, DFAPA is a forensic psychiatrist, former WWAMI and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry with the University of Washington Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Department and one of the founders of the UW Boise Psychiatry Residency Program. She is a former Navy psychiatrist and worked at the Boise VAMC for 6 years. She was also an Idaho rural primary care telepsychiatry consultant for Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center for 12 years. Dr. LaCroix is a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, former President of the Idaho Psychiatric Association. She owns and operates Forensic Psychiatry Services of Idaho and is also the medical director of BPA Health.

Mark McConnell, MD

Dr. McConnel trained in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He completed fellowships in Adult and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and served as Medical Director of the Pediatric ICU at St. Luke's Hospital for 10 years. He now practices Hospital Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine at the Boise VA Medical. He has a special interest in physician wellness and patient safety. He serves on the board of the Idaho Coalition for Safe Healthcare. Outside of medicine, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, and making Idaho a better place to live for everyone.

Steve is the Executive Director of Ada County Medical Society, a Boise, Idaho-based membership association of over 2,700 physicians, advanced practice providers, and medical residents and students. ACMS helps “connect the docs” in Boise with medical education, practice resources, and networking opportunities. For the past decade, Steve has been leader working to affect medical community culture change that promotes personal and professional well-being at local, state, and national levels.

Deb Sheinbach Roman, D.O.

Dr. Deb Roman is a Board-Certified Family Physician. She offers integrative medicine consultations and hands-on osteopathic medicine to individuals of all ages. Deb is the founder of Rediscovering Meaning In Our Work - a consulting and educational program with a focus on the well-being of physicians and medical school students. She teaches workshops, organizes retreat-like conferences, shares presentations, provides consultations to individuals and organizations and facilitates discussion groups. Deb also co-founded the Idaho Physician Well-Being Action Collaborative to work with colleagues to actively address system-level healthcare issues that negatively impact the well-being of physicians and patient care.

Brian Whitlock, BA

Brian Whitlock has over 35 years of communications, government, public relations, and management experience in Idaho. As President and CEO of the Idaho Hospital Association, Brian is the lead spokesperson for Idaho Hospitals and is responsible for state and federal advocacy and legislative representation for IHA’s agenda on key political issues. Brian is a familiar and trusted legislative advisor, having previously served as Chief of Staff to Idaho Governor Dirk Kempthorne where he established and maintained positive relationships with statewide elected officials, legislators, and state agency directors. Brian and his wife, Kelly, live in Meridian and are the parents of three adult children and have four grandchildren.
