Hello fellow Vandal Family! My name is Daniel Urrutia and I am the Resident Director for Student Success. In my role, I manage the Student Success Program and meet with students to discuss academic support strategies. I also work with campus staff to create events and programs that provide academic support, knowledge and training in a variety of areas important to our first year students.
I graduated with my degree in Management & Human Resources in 2014 and I have stuck around since. Moscow and the U of I campus in general are a wonderful place to learn, grow and make long lasting connections. I encourage you to get involved on campus and try something different; break out of your shell.
I enjoy learning and continuing to develop myself as a professional while also encouraging my students to do the same. You never know who you will run into and how you might make a difference in someone’s life. What I have loved the most about Idaho is the ability to connect with people and the feeling that we truly are a Vandal Family. Go Vandals!
Known Fact: I have seen the Selena movie more times than I can count!
If you have questions or would like additional information regarding the Student Success Program, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 208-885-2060.
The Student Success Program is dedicated to supporting students who live in the Residence Halls. Daniel, along with our Academic Peer Mentors, our academic coaches, and other campus partners, work one-on-one with residents to address any needs while attending the University of Idaho.
