Paint the Palouse
Earlier this semester over 300 students and paint brushes joined Housing & Residence Life for its 27th annual Paint the Palouse annual community service project.
On August 27th, three Moscow community homes were painted for free, thanks to donations from campus organizations and local businesses including Moscow Building Supply, T-shirts Inc., Vandals Dining, Housing & Residence Life, and the Residence Hall Association.
The Paint the Palouse event continues to be special for University of Idaho students because it brings them closer to the Moscow community, and it is the student volunteers who make this community service project such a success.
Anyone interested in getting their house painted can complete the application by May 2017. Members of the Paint the Paloouse Committee review applications and contact those who are in most need. Event coordinators will meet with homeowners, review exterior conditions and pick paint colors. For those interested in volunteering, the application will also be available in the spring.
Anyone interested in getting their house painted can complete the application by May 2017.
A team of Paint the Palouse representatives rank all house applications based on need, house size and ability to complete the job within the Paint the Palouse parameters. Once you have applied to have your house painted, we will be in contact to view your residence to assess the work needed. Once the final decision is made, all applicants will be notified within the month of June.
In past years we have been able to paint more than one home, thanks to our generous sponsors!
We are greatly appreciative for donations. Food, painting supplies and money are always needed for this event. If you would like to make a financial donation, please make checks payable to Paint the Palouse.
