Paint the Palouse

Paint the Palouse is an annual community service project coordinated by Housing and Residence Life entering its 27th year. Nearly 400 student volunteers will help improve their community by painting the homes of those who have expressed need within the Moscow area.

Date: August 27th
Time: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Location: Tower Lawn

We welcome all student volunteers. If you would like to participate, please complete the volunteer form at least to two weeks prior to the event, either as an individual or a group. Complete the application to volunteer!

Once you complete the volunteer form, we will be in contact with you regarding your volunteer shift. Shifts are usually 2 hours long, however most people end up volunteering longer. The event usually starts at 8 a.m. and ends around 3 p.m.

All volunteers receive a free t-shirt (as supplies last) and food!

Paint the Palouse also fulfills the service component of the Vandal Edge Program.

Anyone interested in having his or her house painted needs to complete the application form by May 1st.

A team of Paint the Palouse representatives rank all house applications based on need, house size and ability to complete the job within the Paint the Palouse parameters. Once you have applied to have your house painted, we will be in contact to view your residence to assess the work needed. Once the final decision is made, all applicants will be notified within the month of June.

In past years we have been able to paint more than one home, thanks to our generous sponsors!

We accept donations in the forms of food, painting supplies and money.

If you would like to make a financial donation, please make checks payable to Paint the Palouse at:
