  • August 10th:
    • Check In for Fraternity and Sorority Recruitment is from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
    • Parent Orientation begins at 3:30 PM
    • Family BBQ begins at 6:00 PM
  • August 11th – 14th:
    • Students will receive a detailed recruitment schedule upon arrival on the 10th.
    • Recruitment starts anywhere from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM depending on the day, for both Fraternity and Sorority Recruitment. Each day of recruitment is different.
    • Official recruitment events end before dinner each day.
    • Each night will have an activity for all participants of recruitment.
    • Curfew is at 10pm each night.
  • August 14th: Bid Day
    • Fraternity Bid Day begins at 8:00 AM
    • Sorority Bid Day begins at 3:00 PM
    • If a student accepts a bid to a Fraternity or Sorority, they will move in that day.
    • If a student does not accept a bid, they will move into the residence halls immediately.

The University of Idaho offers orientation programs for students interested in Greek Life during the fall and spring semesters.

Recruitment events are the easiest way to learn about individual chapter houses, meet other students in fraternities and sororities, and immerse yourself in student life on campus.

Sign Up Formal Fall Recruitment

Fall Formal Recruitment will be held August 10th - 14th 2017. Chapters who are actively seeking new members will host recruitment events during this period. Event details coming soon.

Use the following form to submit your interest in Fall formal recruitment. Interested students are encouraged to maintain at least a 3.0 GPA to participate in Formal recruitment.

Recruitment Fees

Early-Bird Registration Fee -- $100  (3/24-5/31)

Standard Registration Fee -- $125  (6/1-7/2)

Late Registration Fee – $150  ($7/3-8/1)

Fraternity Recruitment Housing Fee -- $150

Sorority Recruitment Housing Fee -- $250

Recruitment Fees Refundable until July 17

Registration Deadline – August 1
