Professional Development and Learning and the University of Idaho Staff Affairs Committee solicited proposals for a one day Staff Professional Development Conference scheduled for February 29, 2012 to be held on the Moscow campus. University employees across the state were encouraged to submit proposals on specific focus areas to include: change management; process management; work-life balance; computer skills; leadership; communication; teamwork; networking; interpersonal effectiveness; and career planning.
Workshop proposals should fulfill the following criteria:
•Offer attendees tangible and practical information and tools they can apply immediately in their workplace;
•Provide insight into the trends, challenges and opportunities for the University, both currently and in the future, and address staff roles in this dynamic time;
•Help attendees develop personally and professionally and effectively manage their own career path, and to develop their knowledge, skills and expertise; and
•Foster interaction and relationship building among staff.
