Jeanne Stevenson

Jeanne Stevenson serves as the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs at the University of Idaho. In this role, she works directly with the Distance and Extended Education, Independent Study of Idaho, International Programs, ROTC units and University Advising Services. Her university-wide responsibilities include professional development, program assessment, student retention, liaison with several university committees and groups, and university interface on behalf of academic affairs. 

Jeanne began her career as a special education teacher in eastern Washington followed by a faculty position in Maine. She returned to P-12 education as a special education director before moving to Moscow, Idaho. In addition to her current role at the University of Idaho, she has been a faculty member, department administrator, associate dean, and term dean, all in the College of Education. 

Jeanne received her bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University and her master’s and doctoral degrees from Utah State University.
