U.S. Patent 8,080,163 describes a method and system for improving the removal of contaminants from wastewater by recycling a portion of the primary effluent of a moving, iron-coated sand filter upstream in the wastewater treatment process. This is a joint patent with Blue Water Technologies. The University of Idaho inventor is Gregory Moller, Associate Professor of Food Science.
