Responsible Conduct of Research

The university endeavors to train the next generation of researchers and professionals to conduct research with integrity. Conducting research with integrity maintains the foundation of trust between the sciences and the public. The university’s Responsible Conduct of Research Education (RCR) may be found in APM 45.21 and aligns with federal agency requirements.

The university recommends RCR training for all students, faculty and staff. But individuals conducting research funded by NSF, NIH and USDA NIFA are required by federal regulations to complete RCR training. Consult the below table to determine if your research funding requires you to complete RCR training and how you can meet the RCR training requirements.
