CLASS and ORED Research Exposition
The College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences and the Office of Research and Economic Development hosted a research showcase and reception celebrating the Transformative Research Investment & Partnership on Wednesday, April 19, in the Integrated Research and Innovation Center (IRIC) Auditorium. The campus community and public are invited.
The six researchers funded by TRIP presented their work in fast-paced, informative presentations.
Two 2017 CLASS Research Fellowship recipients also presented: Professor Dale Graden, Department of History, presenting “The Bella Miquelina Affair: The Transatlantic Slave Trade, British Suppression and One African’s Quest for Liberty in the Bay of All Saints, Salvador, Brazil, in 1848,” and Professor Mark Warner, Department of Culture, Society and Justice, presenting “Diverse History Uncovered in Archaeological Boise.”
Vice President for Research and Economic Development Janet Nelson and CLASS Dean Andrew Kersten provided opening comments.
