Idaho Water Resources Research Institute

The Idaho Water Resources Research Institute (IWRRI) was established in 1963 by the University of Idaho Board of Regents and is one of the nation’s 54 water research and technology centers. In this capacity, we conduct and direct research to support the water resource needs of the state of Idaho, the northwest region and the nation.

Furthermore, IWRRI is charged with the training of students and with facilitating faculty as they work toward excellence in water resource science. No less important, IWRRI also plays an important role in facilitating, participating in and developing innovative education/outreach programs that provide research-generated information to water managers, agency research scientists and the public at large.
