The University of Idaho invites nominations and applications for a dynamic, visionary director whose collaborative leadership will advance the opportunities for rural student medical education. The WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho) Medical Education Program is the regional medical education program for the University of Washington School of Medicine (UWSOM) in Idaho. Started in 1972, it is currently in its 41st year of successfully educating Idaho's physicians. The WWAMI program is nationally accredited through its partnership with UW School of Medicine, and currently twenty-five Idaho medical students complete their first year of medical training here at the University of Idaho (UI).
