The BANNER Human Resources Module provides the University of Idaho the means to collect and manage vital information about its most important asset - people.  Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) supports the university's efforts in recruiting, hiring, and retaining the best candidates for meeting the university's mission and goals.  A variety of integrated components enables the university to manage personnel, benefits, and positions; monitor compensation, labor relations, and health and safety; administer budgets; and process payroll.

Human Resources Module Training

Human Resources Query

This training is available online and is a prerequisite for all other Human Resources Module training.  It provides instruction on how to look up and navigate through query forms within the Banner Human Resource (HR) Module. Employees who work with personnel or payroll information should attend. Email questions to Myung Chun.

Human Resources EPAF

Request and/ or register for this training on the Banner Training Portal. This training provides hands-on training and instruction for entering Electronic Personnel Action Forms (EPAF’s) in the Banner Human Resource (HR) Module. Trainees are given scenarios in which they must enter a new employee into Banner or change existing information.  Handouts provide trainees assistance in selecting the appropriate approval category before the EPAF is entered.  This class should be taken by employees who will be entering and/or Electronic Personnel Action forms for a department as well as those individuals who will be proxy for them in their absence.  A Summer Session EPAF class is also available every spring which focuses on reviewing summer specific categories, dates, salary calculations and specific summer scenarios.
