Current Issues in Horticulture is a one-day regional Extension development training for faculty, staff and Master Gardeners that is planned July 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the University of Idaho Extension Kootenai County office at 1808 N. 3rd St., Coeur d'Alene. The cost is $10 for faculty and staff and free to Master Gardeners. The program will include talks on genetically-modified organisms, bees and pesticides, herbicide residues in home gardens as well as an overview of tree fruit insects and diseases, ending with a tour of a tree fruit and nut farm in Coeur d'Alene.
