Forrest E. Sears, Professor Emeritus of Theatre

Forrest E. Sears, 88, of Moscow, professor emeritus of theatre, made his final exit from this earthly stage Wednesday, Jan. 26. Arriving at U of I in 1966, he developed the performance curriculum for the BFA and MFA degrees and headed the acting and directing program. He retired in 1997 but returned to direct periodically for the Idaho Repertory Theatre until 2010. Donations in his honor are suggested to the Forrest Sears Faculty Award in Theatre Arts or the Forrest Sears Scholarship Endowment. Read his obituary.
