Moriah Lenhart-Wees passed away Dec. 9 in Boise. Moriah was a programming and advising specialist for the University of Idaho Confucius Institute and College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences from August 2016 to January 2019. While working for the Confucius Institute in Boise, she welcomed and embraced Chinese instructors, took them around Boise, introduced them to their new co-workers and promoted their cooking, language and culture classes. She did outreach with the Boise refugee community, traveled and served extensively worldwide and was a champion for gender and racial equality. She is survived by her husband, Ben, as well as family and friends A GoFundMe benefit account has been established to support Moriah’s family with the cost of medical and hospital bills.
