Being fatigued while doing your job can cause your performance levels to decrease, but having to fight fires while being sleep-deprived can be deadly. University of Idaho Professor Randy Brooks witnessed this after three of his son's teammates were killed after fighting a fire with only a couple of hours of sleep the night before. Read more.
