Engineering Faculty Receive Program Development Funds

University of Idaho electrical engineering Assistant Professor Yacine Chakhchoukh, Department of Nuclear Engineering and Industrial Management Professor and Chair Indrajit Charit and Idaho Falls Center computer science Assistant Professor Costas Kolias each received $30,000 in collaboration funding for the next four years for projects led by Idaho National Laboratory (INL) researchers. “Evaluation of USB Peripherals,” focused on cybersecurity and is led by INL’s Craig Rieger in collaboration with Kolias. “Advanced Nuclear Energy Manufacturing Materials Development” includes Boopathy Kombaiah, of INL’s Materials and Fuels Complex in collaboration with Charit. “Cyber Vulnerability Issues of Distribution Systems” involves INL’s SM Shafiul Alam in collaboration with Chakhchoukh.
