CLASS Awards FY20 Key Grants Supporting Undergraduate Collaborative Research

The College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences has named the awardees of its FY20 CLASS Undergraduate Collaborative Research Key Grants. These grants are designed to encourage collaboration between CLASS faculty and undergraduate students on scholarly or creative projects. Read about the recipients and their projects.

  • Sam Eli White, a junior majoring in sociology, and Dilshani Sarathchandra, assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, were awarded $1,010 for their project entitled "Development and Validation of a Survey Instrument to Measure AI Risk Perceptions."
  • Seven psychology students – including sophomores Dawn Amos and Talje Hoene, juniors Parker Brown, Michael Carey and Britnee Kemble, and seniors Lacy McCormick and Gwen Hayes – and Clarissa Richardson, assistant professor in the Department of Psychology and Communication Studies, were awarded $1,500 for their project entitled "Effectiveness of Mindfulness-Based Intervention for Perfectionism, Depression, Anxiety and Stress."
