First-Phase Banner 9 Upgrade is Complete

October 10, 2018

The first phase of the Banner 9 implementation process is complete! Information Technology Services (ITS) thanks the U of I community for your input and diligence during the upgrade, making the Oct. 1 transition a smooth one. The campus community is invited to the Banner 9 Celebration 3-4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, in the IRIC Atrium to share cake and punch for a job well done.

The purpose of the Banner 9 Implementation Project is to replace both Banner 8 Admin Forms (Administrative Banner) and VandalWeb with a modern user interface design over the next two years. Beginning in 2019, users will experience a series of VandalWeb upgrades throughout the year. These upgrades will be announced on a new project time line.

Regular system maintenance and technology upgrades are required to support the university's institutional perspective on technology solutions, information security and continuous improvement through technology. View the Banner 9 Implementation Project web page with resources and other Key ITS Projects. Contact ITS with questions or to request assistance.
