Job Opportunity: IT Manager, College of Agricultural and Life Sciences

This position provides leadership, computer technical support and expertise, oversight and management of both the Ag Computing Services Staff and off-campus offices throughout Southern Idaho. Working with staff, faculty and students on and off campus by providing consultation and technical assistance where IT related problems are identified. This position will be responsible for coordinating and assisting with problem resolution by determining their technology needs in services, software, hardware, and networking. This position will provide software training while keeping in budget feasibility in conducting a cost/benefit analysis and planning. This position will provide overall supervision of the IT Operations Unit within the College. This position will require travel throughout assigned region. The employee will work with a wide range of personalities and skill levels. Interpersonal and communication skills are critical in providing consultation and problem resolution as we ll as continue to maintain and acquire relations with University ITS and outside vendors on the latest software and hardware technologies that will benefit CALS.
