Two U of I Graduate Students Receive USDA NIFA Fellowships

Two University of Idaho postdoctoral fellows, Christopher Stubbs and Abdulbaset Alayat, received prestigious fellowships from the United States Department of Agriculture National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). Stubbs and Alayat are part of a National Science Foundation Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research project funded through 2022, focused on stalk-lodging, a problem that agriculture has faced for decades.
