Webb places top 10 in national Hearst Television News Competition

John Webb, a senior majoring in broadcasting and digital media, placed in the top 10 in the national Hearst Television News Competition. Webb, who is from Wallace, Idaho, placed ninth in the competition for a second year in a row. Webb’s entries were among 75 entries from 48 schools including the prestigious Arizona State University’s Cronkite School and the University of Missouri’s school of journalism. Webb, who graduates in Fall 2022, has accepted a job as a reporter at KHQ-TV in Spokane. He will complete his college courses online.
