Researchers, Campus Community Invited to IRIC Summer Seminars

The IRIC Seminar Series brings faculty, staff and students together to learn about University of Idaho research and resources. This summer's series features speakers whose offices provide support to researchers. The talks are open not only to IRIC occupants, but also to anyone from across campus.

All presentations are 12:30-1:30 p.m. Fridays in the IRIC Auditorium, on the south side of the building between the second and third floors.
The summer schedule runs every other Friday and includes the following speakers and topics:

  • Friday, May 26: Tara Roberts, science and research writer, will discuss communications and media opportunities for researchers.

  • Friday, June 9: Jeremy Tamsen of Technology, Innovation and Economic Development will discuss the Office of Technology Transfer.

  • Friday, June 23: Russell McClanahan, IRIC building manager, will discuss the IRIC and IRIC safety culture.

  • Friday, July 7: Erin Stoddart, head of special collections and archives at the UI Library, and other library faculty and staff will discuss library resources.

  • Friday, July 21: Matt Dorschel, executive director of Public Safety and Security, will discuss his office.

  • Friday, Aug. 4: Dan LaHann, unmanned aerial systems coordinator, Office of Research Assurance, will discuss the use of UAVs on the UI campus.
