UI Housing & Residence Life Seeks Volunteers to Help with Student Check-In
July 17, 2017
University of Idaho Housing & Residence Life is seeking volunteers to help over 1,600 students move in to the residence halls on Thursday, Aug. 17. It takes hundreds of volunteers to help these students and their families get settled in their new on-campus homes.
Volunteers play a crucial part of ongoing efforts to enhance first-year experiences and retention at UI. Housing & Residence life is recruiting volunteers to work shifts from 8:30-11:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 17.
Tasks include smiling and answering questions; helping families unload their vehicles; and carrying boxes and climbing stairs. Volunteers receive a free T-shirt, free lunch at The Hub dining hall and the opportunity to share their passion for the Moscow community.
The majority of volunteers are needed from 8:30-11:30 a.m. If you are interested in helping our new students, please sign up to volunteer by Aug. 8, 2017.
