Deborah McIntosh joined the law school faculty in 1999. She teaches Legal Research and Writing and Legal Accounting and serves as an advisor to a National Moot Court team. From 2005-2007, she directed the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. In addition, Ms. McIntosh is a member of the Legal Writing Institute and has given presentations on teaching techniques at several Legal Writing Institute conferences.
Ms. McIntosh is a member of both the Idaho and Washington State bar associations. Prior to teaching at the University of Idaho, Ms. McIntosh was a partner with the law firm of Creason, Moore, & Dokken PLLC in Lewiston, Idaho, where she had a general law practice. Before she received her law degree, Ms. McIntosh practiced accounting with an international accounting firm in Phoenix, Arizona, and Seattle, Washington. She has been on a member of various nonprofit boards for entities that serve disadvantaged people including Opportunities Unlimited, Inc., Boys and Girls’ Club of the Lewis Clark Valley, and the Lewiston YWCA.
