Bio

Hello! My name is Alexis Hoech (pronounced like bake but with an H). Pictured with me is Harley. I followed family tradition and did my undergrad at WSU. I graduated with a degree in Political Science with an emphasis in Pre-law. After graduating I returned to the Seattle area to work but law school was always the plan. I started volunteering and working at a Therapeutic Riding Center, and my riders inspired me to make that plan a reality. I decided to return to the Palouse because of the proximity to my family and to my favorite ski area!

What advice would you offer to incoming 1L law students?

Don’t lose yourself in law school. Law school is challenging but you belong here! It’s easy to end up spending all your time reading and studying. Creating a study schedule helps immensely but don’t forget to also schedule time to have fun, to unwind and to see loved ones. The law school family is here to help and support you, don’t forget to reach out!
