John A. Bush

Mr. Bush is a native Idahoan. He was born and raised in Idaho Falls and grew up learning to enjoy the pristine waters of Eastern Idaho, along with his five sisters and brother. He graduated from the University of Idaho, School of Business, in 1984, and the University of Idaho Law School in 1988. He was President of the Board of Student Advocates in 1987-88.
Mr. Bush is a member of the Idaho State Bar, serving as Chairman of the Young Lawyers Section in 1991 and 1992. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Idaho Trail Lawyers Association, and the American Inns of Court, #130. He has served on the Idaho Law Foundation Board of Directors since 1998 and was President of the Idaho Law Foundation for 2006. Following Law School, Mr. Bush clerked for the Honorable Mikel H. Williams, U.S. Magistrate, District of Idaho, 1988-90. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Claims, the Idaho Supreme Court, the United States District Court, District of Idaho, and the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Bush's practice focuses on insurance claims and insurance bad faith; personal injury and accident claims, including wrongful death; significant brain injury; and government tort claims. Mr. Bush has been involved in an active litigation practice and has also had substantial appellate experience both before the Idaho Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has been involved in a number of reported appellate decisions.
Mr. Bush is also active in youth sports, having coached numerous teams and served on the local Little League Board of Directors.
