Event Information

Vandal Overnight Games (VOG) began simply. The passion of one U of I I Information Technology Services (ITS) manager Darren Kearney and one U of I student, now U of I grad and ITS employee Jacob Flynn, has helped grow VOG into the largest gaming, entertainment event on the Palouse.

The first VOG event was held in fall 2014 in a few rooms and on a modest budget drawing just over 350 participants. Now, the event draws over 800 attendees of all ages, backgrounds and gaming interests.

Vandal Overnight Games occurs twice a year-in the fall and spring. U of I's ITS Department hosts and coordinates the event. The co-founders' original vision remains the same which is to offer an intimate, inclusive and free social event where students and the general community can come together to explore games, talk, connect and just have fun.

From its inception, the U of I campus, senior leadership and area businesses partnered and gave ITS and the VOG Committee its full support-allowing the event to evolve and grow.

Now, the event brings together spreads out over 100,000 square feet and offers over 25 different gaming and activity areas.

For general questions about the event, registration, sponsorship/donation opportunities or hosting a game/activity, please contact VOG event organizers at Vandal-overnight@uidaho.edu or 208-885-8648.
