Embed a Qualtrics Survey in a Webpage
This tutorial applies to the following operating system(s):
Windows - Macintosh
Qualtrics surveys and forms can be easily embedded to your UI webpage in Sitecore.
Log into Qualtrics: (surveys.uidaho.edu).
Create a new survey using the Create Survey tab, or edit an existing one with the Edit Survey tab.
When the survey is complete, change the Look & Feel to Minimal 2014 so the survey will be properly formatted to fit your webpage.
Then, click Distribute Survey, and make sure that you are on the Survey Link tab.
Make sure the survey has been activated, and then copy the survey link and save it as it will be needed in step 8.
In Sitecore (sitecore.uidaho.edu/sitecore/login), in the Object Library, navigate to the location in the site tree: /sitecore/content/content-item-library/UIdaho-Responsive/iframes and navigate to your department. To create an iFrame, navigate to desired folder. Right-click desired folder and click Insert > iFrame
Note: If you do not have the ability to insert an iframe object, you will need to contact the web administrator for your department area in Sitecore and request that they give you permissions to add and edit iframes in your site.
When a dialog box opens, enter the name of your iFrame and click OK.
The iFrame edit page opens. The two main fields of concern are the Source field and the Height field.
Enter the source (the URL of the page or material that you want. Note that your default URL may be from a non-secure (http) page. If a secure version exists, add an “s” behind the “http” to make it “https.”
The Height field has a default of 1200. This will probably need to be adjusted, depending on the height of the survey. Since this requires testing in a page and subsequent tweaking, the Web Coordinator or Web Technician will be able to adjust this field more easily than the Web Author.
Note that it is better to have the Height field bigger than than you think you need, as different devices/displays may require a larger frame to see all the content.
