Microsoft Updates for all Windows-Managed Computers Available Today at Noon

On the second Thursday of every month at noon, an update will be released to Windows-managed computers. The update will become mandatory on the third Wednesday of the month for any computers not updated by then. This means that employees have one week to update their computer on their own schedule by going to "Software Center" on their computer and then "Updates" in the left-hand column of the screen. Sharma to Study Chinese Language in Nepal

Assistant Professor of English Bal Krishna Sharma has been awarded a $5,000 University of Idaho Confucius Institute Faculty Fellows Small Grant to conduct research in language ecology in Nepal. Sharma will travel to Kathmandu over winter break to study the cultural and linguistic effects of China's Belt and Road Initiative in Nepal. This project is an extension of Sharma's continuing research on the spread and use of global languages and their impacts on the local linguistic ecology in Nepal. Read more

Dakota Roberson Named White House Fellow
