UI Extension Award Nominations
The awards will be presented at UI Extension Annual Conference March 25-28 in Idaho Falls. Download the nomination criteria for each award. Please consider nominating one of your colleagues or self-nominate for these great awards. All nominations are due Monday, Feb. 25 to Debbie Rigby firstname.lastname@example.org.
- The 2019 Diversity Award recognizes outstanding efforts and accomplishments in achieving and sustaining diversity and pluralism in Extension. The $500 award for diversity is presented for accomplishments in diversity and pluralism in any aspect of Extension: operations, staffing, programs, audiences, advisory councils, etc. The award recognizes innovation and outstanding efforts that demonstrate achievement. The recipient can be an individual, team or organization in the Extension system. This is not an award for EEO/AA programs.
- The G. Elbert McProud Memorial Scholarship provides $500 for professional development support for University of Idaho Extension faculty to attend courses, observe programs and gain knowledge applicable to ongoing Extension programming.
- The purpose of the Excellence in Extension Award is to recognize Extension education programming conducted by Extension faculty that has achieved outstanding accomplishments, results and impacts in addressing contemporary issues in Idaho. It is anticipated that recipient(s) of the award will have developed mature programs with documented impacts. The award recipient(s) will receive $1,000 (gross), an award certificate and have his or her name(s) added to a plaque displayed in the state Extension office.
- The purpose of the R.W. Schermerhorn Extension Faculty Award is to recognize excellent leadership and creativity through programming conducted by Extension faculty. The award recipient will receive a monetary award of $300 from the earnings of the R. Schermerhorn Endowment, an award certificate and their name added to a plaque displayed in the state Extension office.
University Awards for Excellence
The University Awards for Excellence recognize and encourage excellence in all forms at the academic level. Awards will be presented by President Chuck Staben and Provost and Executive Vice President John M. Wiencek on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the International Ballroom in the Bruce M. Pitman Center.
