University of Idaho Extension provides forestry education to help Idahoans manage forest resources more effectively to meet their goals. We work primarily with:

  • Family forest owners
  • Loggers
  • Natural resource professionals 

The Idaho Panhandle Area includes four northern counties: Benewah, Bonner, Boundary and Kootenai Counties. Chris Schnepf is the Area Extension Forester for the region. He is based in the UI Extension, Kootenai County office.
