Civic Discourse through Art
Chelsey Flores, a senior majoring in studio art and design in U of I’s College of Art and Architecture, wants to better her community by art that inspires civic discourse. Born and raised in Nampa, Flores got involved in several public art projects during her time at U of I, including For Freedoms, a nationwide initiative to mobilize voters to head to the polls for the 2018 midterm elections.
Art and design student Chelsey Flores found a home at U of I. Now she wants to give back to her community through artwork that encourages civic discourse.
