UIEF Timber Bridge and Stream Restoration
UIEF Timber Bridge and Stream Restoration
This project is to design a pedestrian timber bridge over Big Meadow Creek on the University of Idaho Experimental Forest near Princeton, Idaho, and create a stream restoration plan at the bridge site. The previous crossing was a culvert that was washed out leaving behind a unstable stream bank and unsafe crossing. The new timber bridge will allow for pedestrians as well as equestrians to cross the stream safely. The stream restoration will promote steelhead passage to promote the upstream habitat.
