INL Compact Glovebox Tensile Testing System
INL Compact Glove Box Tensile Testing System
Idaho National Laboratory has asked us to create a glove box-based tensile testing system that can perform tests at up to 700 C for the purpose of testing Ur-Pl-Zr alloys. While small-scale tensile testers do exist, they do not meet INL’s requirements. The goal is to create a tensile testing machine that can perform high temperature tests and fit through the 8" port in the glove box or be easily assembled once inside.
