Robert Ketchum is a lecturer in occupational education for the University of Idaho College of Education, Health and Human Science and is based in Coeur d'Alene. Ketchum has a doctorate in vocational-technical education and has worked for more than 47 years in education and training. For 20 of those years, he was executive director of workforce training at North Idaho College’s Workforce Training Center in Post Falls, Idaho, and led one of the largest workforce training and apprenticeship programs in Idaho. For 10 years, Ketchum was Idaho’s representative to the American Association of Community Colleges’ Workforce Training State Liaison Network. Board roles have included the National Council for Workforce Education, and Coeur d'Alene’s Jobs Plus' economic development association. Ketchum has served as an evaluator for NWCCU. He has provided multiple implementation services and presentations on the topic of structured on-the-job training (SOJT). Ketchum has had the opportunity to travel in Asia where he consulted and participated in the delivery of training in Hong Kong and on the Chinese mainland.
