Teaching for Secondary Students

Secondary education is a challenging, yet rewarding, field. You will learn how to be responsible for teaching specific content area subjects to secondary school students. You will take courses in your specific content area (i.e. English, science, math, etc.), and you also will complete teaching and child development courses offered through the Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the College of Education.

  • Degree is offered at the Moscow campus.
  • Requires 20 hours of service-learning.
  • Preparation of teachers in a standards driven, integrated and field-based program.
  • Completion of a semester student teaching internship is required.
