Membership in Athena is open to all currently employed and retired University of Idaho staff, faculty and administrators, as well as all graduate students employed by the university as Teaching Assistants (TA), Research Assistants (RA), or Graduate Assistants (GA). The board will vote on other graduate students (those unemployed by the university) on a case-by-case basis. Only members whose dues are paid for the current year may vote at any meeting of the organization.

With a focus on networking and education, Athena helps members meet new colleagues, learn about U of I priorities and improve the climate on campus.

Membership Dues

Annual membership dues are $20 for the 2023-2024 academic year, payable at any time. Renewing dues? Please fill out an updated membership form.

  • To pay using cash or check:
    • Make checks payable to Athena.
    • Fill out a membership application (below).
    • Send cash or check via campus mail to Beth Ropski, MS 2431.
  • To pay online:
    • Pay using PayPal.
      • The membership dues via PayPal are $21.23 to cover PayPal processing fees.
    • Fill out a membership application (below).
  • Unfortunately, payroll deduction is not available for membership dues.
