About Us

Mission

Through the Operation Education Scholarship Program®, the University of Idaho honors and assists United States military personnel who have sustained severe and permanent disability while serving our country post-9/11 by providing the opportunity to attain a college degree. We create a high quality, caring, learning environment through individualized financial, academic and social support. Because respecting the entire family unit is a value strongly held by the University of Idaho community, spouses may also qualify for the program.

Vision

It is intended that the Operation Education Scholarship Program® will be a highly effective, sustainable and self-supporting scholarship component of the University of Idaho, and a model that will be adopted nationwide to provide every qualified U.S. military veteran who was wounded and permanently disabled while serving our nation post-9/11 with the opportunity and support they and/or their spouse need to earn a college degree.

Operation Education has been replicated at Adrian College (Michigan) and University of California, Riverside.
