Since 1889, the University of Idaho has led education and research in furthering our mission as the State’s Land Grant Institution. At the forefront of that mission is the undergraduate majors in the College of Natural Resources. Each of these majors and their associated undergraduate online courses are also accredited by the various professional organizations representing our undergraduate majors. These include:

The degree requirements and student learning outcomes for Natural Resources Online courses are identical to those offered on campus. Importantly, you will receive the same transcript from the University of Idaho as a student taking on-campus courses.

Our Master of Natural Resources (M.N.R.) program is a member of the Natural Resources Distance Learning Consortium, while our Professional Science Master's (P.S.M.) in Natural Resources and Environmental Science is formally recognized by the National Professional Science Master's Association. Both of these organizations provide external program review to ensure high-quality and relevant curriculum.

To ensure high quality courses and curriculum, we are also members of  Quality Matters™,  which is a third-party organization that focuses on continual improvement of online academic programs.
