Kathryn Matthews

Katy Matthews obtained her undergrad degree in Environmental Studies from Ithaca College in New York state. She worked at Joshua Tree National Park for eight years primarily focusing on vegetation restoration. Currently she is working at Nez Perce National Historical Park in addition to working towards a master's degree at the University of Idaho. She is working under Mark Kimsey, studying common camas (Camassia quamash), looking at the plant's preferred site characteristics and using that information to develop a restoration protocol for the rehabilitation of camas prairie habitats.
