October 29, 2020, 7:30 p.m.
Please join us for an evening of dynamic arrangements of compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel. University of Idaho oboe professor Teodora Pejašinović Proud and her husband, saxophonist Joseph Proud, will present Joseph’s arrangements of Bach’s two-part keyboard Inventions for this unusual instrumentation. Christopher Wilson, percussion professor at Washington State University, will present his marimba arrangement of Bach’s Partita in E Major, originally for violin. The concert will conclude with a presentation by distinguished scholar Raymond Erickson, who will speak on a variety of Bach topics and provide background for U of I piano professor Eneida Larti's concluding performance of Handel’s Chaconne in G Minor. Register here for this free Zoom presentation.

October 30, 2020, 7:30 pm
Bach’s solos for violin and cello are among his most beloved compositions. Please join us for a performance of Bach’s Violin Sonata in A Minor by U of I violin professor Giselle Hillyer, followed by the Suite in G Major (including the famous G Major Prelude) by U of I cello professor Miranda Wilson. Register here for this free Zoom presentation.

Founded in 2011, the Idaho Bach Festival is set in the beautiful architectural and natural landscapes of the University of Idaho and the Palouse.
