Carmine Caruso was one of the world’s greatest brass teachers. It is to this man and his work that the 2017 Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Solo Competition is dedicated. All events are open to the public and will be held at the Lionel Hampton School of Music at the University of Idaho in Moscow, ID on Sept. 23, 2017. A morning clinic will be presented on the Carmine Caruso Teaching Method.

The final round will be held in the afternoon, and an evening concert will feature the finalists of the Competition along with performances by each of the distinguished judges. Programming subject to change.
